“The unbearable gap between growing up in the shadow of a mother, a famous flamenco dancer, and the desire to create on her own, are told in a dramatic and sensitive weave, using a unique stage language developed by the actress Shirley Legum. The story is conducted as a dialogue between the actress’s mother, who is no longer alive, and the actress, who allows herself only after Emma’s death to have a deep conversation about everything that was locked deep inside her throughout her life. Will she be able to break out of her mother’s shadow? Will she be able to give space to her own unique creation?”
